With more than 20 years of practical and hands-on hotel and hospitality management experience and expertise, Nassar Khalil knows all that there is to know about Hotel and Hospitality operations and management. Since leaving University, Nassar’s passion has been hotels and he has dedicated his entire career to the hospitality industry.
Nassar is a visionary, incisive and highly dynamic hotel expert with extensive strategic planning and operational management skills together with an outstanding track record implementing innovative branding, marketing and PR initiatives to develop businesses at board level within the highly competitive hotel and hospitality industry.
His operational management expertise is both profound and widespread and encompasses new hotel concepts, design briefs, multi-site and cluster general management, day to day operations, service standards excellence, pre-openings, hotel launches, branding, sales, marketing, PR, procurement, cost/budgetary control, board reporting, team leadership, relationship management, budgets and forecasting, Profit and Loss management, Food and Beverage, compliance, online reputation management, e-commerce and much more.
He possess extensive management expertise, and a wealth of experience developing and successfully implementing sales and business strategies to improve and deliver exceptional returns on revenue, EBITDA, ADR, RevPAR and occupancy, exceeding challenging sales, performance and productivity targets.
Nassar is an articulate and accomplished bilingual communicator who is comfortable in a wide variety of situations, cultures and environments.
He has a well established track record in the sector and has won numerous industry awards including Hotel Manager Of The Year in 2005, a GTBS Gold Award and Trip Advisor’s Travellers Choice Award in 2011.
Nassar takes great pride in turning stressed hotel operations that are not performing or on the verge of collapse into successful ventures for independent hotel owners, hotel groups and banks.
He sits on the board of a number of hotel companies and is a Member of the Institute of Hospitality and the British Institute of Facilities Management.
Nassar graduated from Imperial College in Business Studies and holds an MBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management from The London School of Business and Finance. Formerly the Chief Operating Officer for Royal Luxury Hotels, he led and managed the launch of the luxury group’s latest five star hotel in Doha, Qatar. Prior to that Nassar played a pivotal role in the development of, and successfully launched base2stay hotels (now known as Nadler Hotels) where he was Operations Director, company Director and board member. Nassar has also been Head of Global Standards for Nikko (JAL) Hotels International and has held other senior management positions at Sanderson Hotels, Hilton Worldwide and Kensington Boutique Hotels.
